Hairpins is a queer events platform and community project for lesbians, queer women, and transgender and non-binary people.
We run parties, pop-ups, and nightlife through Hairpins LLC, and we host educational programs, mutual aid efforts, and community building through Dropping Hairpins Project, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
EVENTS & NIGHTLIFE
Hairpins creates event spaces where lesbians, queer women, transgender, and non-binary people can show up fully and feel held by the room. Our parties and pop-ups live under Hairpins LLC, the creative arm that brings our cultural work to life.
We partner with venues in underserved areas and design environments that feel safe, electric, and unmistakably queer. These events are where joy becomes connection, and where our community gathers to celebrate, breathe, dance, and find each other.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Our nonprofit arm, Dropping Hairpins Project, builds long-term community impact through education and mutual aid.
We create programs that uplift lesbians, queer women, transgender, and non-binary individuals — from cultural workshops and public talks to resource sharing and community care initiatives.
This work centers sustainability, accessibility, and belonging. It’s how we invest in the futures of the communities who show up for us, and how we help queer people see themselves reflected in public life.
