GET INVOLVED WITH HAIRPINS

Hairpins is built by community — not just attended by it. Whether you want to show up, support behind the scenes, share your work, or help sustain queer spaces where they don’t exist, there’s a way to get involved.

SPONSOR

SPONSOR 〜

WHO IT’S FOR

Organizations, businesses, foundations, institutions, and individuals that believe in supporting queer women, trans, and non-binary communities in meaningful, visible ways — especially in places where dedicated spaces are limited or disappearing.

This is for partners who value:

  • community impact

  • long-term relationships

  • supporting culture, safety, and access

WHAT IT SUPPORTS

Sponsorships help Hairpins:

  • produce accessible, high-quality events

  • pay queer DJs, artists, speakers, and collaborators fairly

  • fund educational and community programming

  • expand into new cities responsibly

  • sustain the infrastructure that makes this work possible

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Depending on the partnership, sponsors may receive:

  • meaningful visibility with engaged queer audiences

  • alignment with a trusted, community-led brand

  • on-site presence at select events

  • acknowledgment across Hairpins platforms

  • opportunities for deeper collaboration (panels, programming, education)

OUR APPROACH

Hairpins does not offer generic sponsorship packages.

We work with partners to create custom, values-aligned sponsorships that make sense for both sides — and for the community we serve.

BECOME A CITY MANAGER

A woman with short hair and a checkered shirt holding a microphone and speaking at a social gathering inside a decorated space with Christmas and holiday decorations, including a small tree and orange lanterns that say 'Fernet-Branca', with an audience of diverse people in the foreground.
  • Queer community leaders with event, organizing, or operations experience who want to help throw Hairpins pop-ups in their city.

This role is for people who:

    • are active in their local queer community

    • have experience with events, organizing, or facilitation

    • can communicate clearly, follow systems, and lead calmly

    • understand that community safety, consistency, and trust matter more than hype

  • City Managers act as Hairpins’ on-the-ground lead in their city. Responsibilities may include:

    • sourcing and maintaining venue relationships

    • coordinating DJs, hosts, and volunteers (with guidance)

    • supporting local promotion and turnout

    • upholding Hairpins’ values, safety standards, and event quality

    • serving as a host and point of contact during events

Hairpins provides structure, branding, systems, and centralized support to all city managers.

    • 10% of net ticket profit from events you directly manage

    • Complimentary entry to Hairpins events you attend but are not working

  • City Managers are carefully vetted to protect the integrity of Hairpins and the communities we serve.

    The process includes:

    • an interest form

    • a review of experience and alignment

    • a conversation with the Hairpins team

Submitting interest does not guarantee selection. We prioritize fit, trust, and sustainability over speed.
