Hairpins creates multiple ways for queer communities to gather — from nightlife to education to spaces beyond the bar. Some events are about dancing. Others are about learning, leadership, or mutual aid. All of them are about connection.

HAIRPINS POP-UP PARTIES
Ticketed bar and club events created for lesbians, queers, and gender-diverse people — especially in cities without dedicated lesbian bars or queer-femme venues.

HAIRPINS TOGETHER
A community care and mutual aid program supporting transgender community members’ gender-affirming care journeys through free, drop-in gatherings hosted with local partners.

A monthly queer leadership network connecting business owners, organizers, and community leaders through intentional, recurring gatherings designed to reduce isolation and build shared momentum.

Monthly community gatherings hosted in partnership with cultural institutions, activating civic and cultural spaces as welcoming environments for queer and gender-diverse people.

A quarterly film series featuring sapphic-centered films followed by facilitated discussion or talkback.

A cultural conversation series developed with museums, theaters, bookstores, and arts organizations in response to exhibitions, performances, or cultural moments.

An annual, large-scale celebration reclaiming the prom experience for queer adults who were excluded, unsafe, or unable to attend as themselves.
